The New and Returning Talent workstream is focused on increasing awareness of the benefits of a career in insight.  This workstream is considering recruitment targets, recruitment communications and channels, broadening out the UK University Roadshow programme and introducing a school’s outreach initiative to attract more apprentices and graduates into the sector.

This includes the Market Research Executive Apprenticeship and identifying further opportunities to broaden the pool of talent attracted to the research sector.

New and returning talent objectives:
  • Drive awareness of the research/insight industry as a career option
  • Encourage routes into the sector that don’t require further/formal education
  • Attract more people into research (from education, different roles/industries, etc.)
  • Improve retention of talent within the industry
  • Encourage people to return to the industry (after a career break, having moved to an adjacent industry, etc.)
  • Consider the future skills required for the research workforce
